Because even though it’s 2012, it’s something that’s still alarmingly lacking in television, books, and film. When it does happen, I think it should be pointed out and praised so that it happens more and more often until it becomes the norm. 

Those venues influence and reach people so much. I know because of the effect it’s had on me. I’ve just been lucky enough to be attracted to strong women like myself. For those that aren’t, I want to praise it so they notice. I want more Rose Tylers in the world and less Bella Swans.
