Another complaining post about my mother:

She spits out sentiments about God like they’re religious catchphrases. These are phrases that I’ve seen people that I know use sparingly in a way that actually makes me think they mean them. Instead of saying, “God is so good to us.” She’ll be like “John’s working tomorrow. Isn’t that great? Praise God!” in rapid succession. I’m like “Yeah, that is great.” “He is faithful. Okay gotta go. Luv u. XOXOXO”

It just doesn’t come off as real to me. It probably makes me sound awful criticizing her like this, but it’s only because I want it so badly to be genuine. But it’s not.
